Death Trash by @talecrafter is a RPG set in a post apocalyptic world where you explore the world ravaged by cosmic horrors!
In the game, you’ll travel through an Overworld to various locations, entering into an isometric viewpoint where you can fight against enemies, trade with merchants, and scavenge for resources. As you travel and accept quests, you’ll discover more of the world and you’ll gain more abilities and weapons to help in your journey
While the story can be a bit confusing with a lot of new and esoteric terms, the setting kept us invested and interested to discover more. Additionally, the combat is kept interesting even as you level up as the enemies gain better weapons and abilities too
There is also a stealth system that is really fun as you can’t stay within eyesight of enemies for too long or they’ll find you even while cloaked. And you can pickpocket or backstab NPCs that way. The crafting system is interesting as there is a lot of resources to scavenge though we hope that it’ll be expanded in the full release as we kept finding ourselves with more resources than we knew what to do with
Even though Death Trash is an RPG, the real time combat is fun as you activate abilities on a cooldown and you can roll to dodge out of the way of enemy attacks. There is also local co-op where you can get a friend to join in your adventure!
While still in Early Access, we enjoyed this game tremendously and if the setting interests you, definitely check it out!
