To get all of these flowers in place was definitely harder than what I had optimistically expected, and it took me a long time. It was a lot of fun to be working with such vivid blue colors though!
The inspiration for this piece came to me during an evening walk at the cemetery. There was a lot of lovely scented hyacinths in bloom at the time and I thought they were worth capturing.
Because of the background of how this piece came to be, I wanted to connect the title to wandering around in a cemetery environment where time seems to stand still while you’re directing your attention to the departed. Remembering and mourning, but still being able to find peace with the beauty of the surrounding environment💙🪦
