Took myself on a little road trip to Lake City, SC to participate in @artfieldssc Portrait Competition. It felt so good to step into a room full of easels and draw with everyone. Really brought back some great life drawing class memories with @harumiabeartist and @tksmithart . Like seeing an old friend and picking up right where we left off. It was a little emotional, I can’t lie.
I made it to round 2 of 3 hour long rounds. Thanks to the models for sitting so still, @artfieldssc for providing the opportunity, @thebeanmarketlc for providing the space and all the participants for doing such beautiful work and bringing such positive energy to the room. I had a blast and can’t wait for the next one.
