It wasn't long before ONI, recognizing both her exceptional combat skills and her fervent disdain for the Insurrectionists, sought her out for a new role as one of their elite Headhunters. This transition came with a significant upgrade: the Mirage-IIC SPI armor, boasting an added layer of protection in the form of an overshield. Paired with the seasoned Headhunter Francis, who donned the formidable Mjolnir MKV armor, they embarked on covert operations targeting key Insurrectionist figures, leaving a trail of strategic dismantling in their wake.
Their partnership met a tragic end during their final mission, a desperate attempt to locate and liberate POWs from an Insurrectionist stronghold. Caught in a barrage of enemy missiles during their escape, Ellie was knocked unconscious, her body bearing severe injuries, while Francis met his demise entangled within his breached armor.
Ellie's survival amidst devastation did not go unnoticed by ONI, who acknowledged her resilience and resolve. As a testament to her endurance and the sacrifice of her fallen comrade, she was granted access to the revered Mjolnir Mark VII armor. With Francis's shoulder piece integrated into her new armor, Ellie embarked on a relentless pursuit as a Headhunter, fueled by a burning vendetta against the Insurrectionists who had taken so much from her.
