Recycling also reduces air, water, and land pollution resulting from waste disposal. Keeping environmental safety and SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production targets in mind, little hands and imaginative minds came together in a burst of creativity during the "Day of Recycling," an inter-house competition held on Monday, March 18, 2024, for the learners of PYP (1-5). The competition focused on fostering an understanding among children about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling waste materials. Fantabulous ideas were demonstrated using materials like newspapers, old CDs, used plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles, shoe boxes, etc. It was amazing to see how the children turned scrap into useful and beautiful articles.
