CIAO ITALY 🇮🇹👋🏽 We spent the second half of our trip in the mountains of Tuscany ⛰️ eating more pasta and drinking more wine 🍷 Which btw, idk why people think you can’t get a hangover from Italian wine bc I def did 😵💫 Before we got to Tuscany, we stopped in Santa Marinella for a wedding (6) and I got to see friends I haven’t seen in a long time 🥰 We drove right from the wedding to Tuscany on the darkest windiest road and it was terrifying 🙈 Shane’s starting to drive like an Italian taxi driver 😆 Woke up to the most beautiful views (1,7,10) our hotel (@fonteverde) had like 10 thermal pools with beautiful views of the countryside. They even had a doggy pool! We spent most of our time relaxing at the pool and eating pasta (5) 🍝 which was hard bc idk how to sit still! I missed all the walking and exploring we did in the first half of our trip but shane is a big relaxation guy so he loved it! We got massages again and shane said the lady made him wear the thong again and this time he wore it back to our room so I got to see it…I nearly peed my pants 😂 he said the lady dumped oil on his back and basically used it as a slip and slide. IM STILL DYING We went to a vineyard (2&3) where they did a “light lunch” aka 4 course meal and wine tasting. Btw “tastings” are not the same in Italy, they glasses of wine. Everything was SO good. I didn’t bring any wine home but I did bring a really good bottle of olive oil back! And it didn’t break in the suitcase 😮💨 No one talks about the water in Italy 💦 my hair has never felt so clean and shiny! I’m convinced it’s cleaner there and I think that’s my sign to finally buy a filtered shower head. I’ve had my eye on the @jolieskinco for years but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I regretted waiting until the end of the trip to go into an Italian farmacia bc it was SO hard to find one in Tuscany. Also, if I had known the airport had all the same stuff for the same price, I would have just waited. So FYI to anyone going to Italy! You can find all the @caudalie you could possibly want in the airport 🫶🏼 ALSO I’ll be launching our group trip next week and we’re going to CROATIA!!! ✈️
CIAO BUONGIORNO!! 🇮🇹 We’ve been honeymooning in Italy for the last 6 days 🥰 it’s sooo beautiful and I’m constantly blown away by the views. We started in Sorrento…and HOT TAKE…I didn’t think it was all that 🫢 Maybe we didn’t spend enough time there to get the full experience but it felt overhyped and crowded. 🫣 it’s definitely a good home base if you’re wanting to hop around though. As soon as we arrived we spent the the afternoon on our own boat where we floated in the Mediterranean and stopped for lunch in Capri (slides 2,7,8) and had our first pizza and aperol spritz! 🍕🍹 We were in bed by 9:30 and were too tired for dinner 😂 before leaving Sorrento we had a delicious lunch at the CUTEST restaurant @lanticatrattoria1930 (slide 4 & 10). We had our first Italian pasta!! We both got cacio e pepe…and YUM! 🍝 Then we headed to Ischia which we were told was a hidden gem and I wish our entire trip could have been there! I was OBSESSED with everything: our hotel @botaniarelais, @negomboischia (slide 3), all the food, and the breathtaking views. We went out to lunch on our first day there and the sea was tempting so we had an impromptu beach day where we both had to buy bathing suits bc we were fully dressed in normal clothes and if you know me, you know my anxiety doesn’t take change very well but it was my idea (usually Shane would have to convince me to do something like that) 😮 and it was perfect. Now I have a new favorite bathing suit and a new favorite core memory 🥰👙 (slides 1, 6, & 10). In ischia we had a private cooking class where we learned how to make pizza and ravioli @michelaarcamone0683’s home. It was intimate and so much fun to spend time with locals and incredibly special to be able to do that in their home! 🍕 Yesterday we realized shane left his suit in Sorrento so our travel agent had to find a driver to meet us today 🫠 Today we rented a car for the rest of the trip and watching shane drive through traffic in Naples was hilarious. 🚙 Now we’re off to the second half of our trip! 🍷🫒 Also have to give a big thank you to @tripsbynic for planning us an amazing trip…I would have been very lost without you 😂 #jzeats
