DID YOU KNOW....? 💁‍♀️ 👉 50 grams of prunes per day preserves bone mineral density in post-menopausal women. I am a huge fan of food as medicine! My only concern with making this recommendation is the high sugar content of dried fruit. To mitigate the effect of the fruit on blood sugar, I recommend combining the prunes (you only need about 5 to get these effects) with a protein and fibre-rich meal. A good suggestion would be to serve the prunes with whole oats, sugar-free, high-protein yogurt, and some LSA meal. This is a balanced meal that incorporates calcium from the yogurt, prunes, and phytoestrogens from the linseeds. All 3 of these components are excellent for skeletal health (and your microbiome due to the polyphenols and fibre). We get asked this question pretty often! So we decided to do a post 🙂 Which FURMENT product should I get? The powder or the gel? OK, The RED GEL is specifically for soft stools, diarrhea, and food poisoning cases. The kaolin works hand-in-hand with the postbiotics to help slow the passage of stools through the digestive tract and absorb toxins. You SHOULD NOT be giving the red gel AFTER the problem as resolved. It is meant as a solution, not for maintenance. The BLUE GEL is best for SHORT-TERM maintenance, although it may also be given instead of the red gel if the stools aren’t too bad or too soft. It can also be given in cases of indigestion, or to pre-empt a reaction from a sensitive stomach. It is great to give on a regular basis, but especially if your dog has just gone through surgery, antibiotics, or has a VERY sensitive gut. This is because the gel may be administered WITHOUT FOOD and its liquid state enables faster absorption. The FURMENT COMPLETE POWDER is the best for LONG-TERM maintenance because it contains pre, pro and postbiotics, and is the most economical and holistic option for long-term gut microbiome health.
