Teo tastings in one day. Yesterday was a heavy one. Thanks to @naomi.laurie me and my mate had at the Duke of Tokyo in Amsterdam. Here we got to try several awesome @nikkawhiskyeu whiskies as well as their gin and vodka. (Coffey malt, Miyagikyo and the Yoichi) All stuff id never had before. An epic afternoon. The highlight there were two unreleased nikkas: bourbon &rye cask and an Irish cask that was distilled on stainless steel stills. But it didnt end there for me as there was an @remycointreau tasting with 3 Remy Martin Cognacs waiting at home. Also great stuff! No more alcohol for me though the next few days...

Glenglassaugh Sandend. The distillery is perched along the wild north Aberdeenshire coast, tucked away behind the picturesque Sandend Bay, a favourite spot for surfers. Master blender Rachel Barrie holds cherished memories of her childhood days spent at Sandend, where she even learned to surf.  Glenglassaugh Sandend is a recent addition to the core line-up of the Glenglassaugh distillery. Production at the distillery resumed in 2008, and in 2016, it was acquired by the renowned Brown-Forman Co. of the United States. You might recognize Brown-Forman as the makers of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Old Forester, and Woodford Reserve Bourbons. Additionally, they also own Glendronach and Benriach as part of their Scotch Whisky collection. The only “beach” I have neared my house is the Rhine🫣. Today, I’m enjoying a sunny day in Arnhem so why not pretend that I am at a beach drinking this nice, sweet, buttery, vanilla ice cream whisky with hints of caramel and pineapple. The whisky is aged in a blend of bourbon, sherry, and manzanilla casks. Bottled at 50.5% ABV. Do you have a go for beach whisky?

Glen Moray 1965 25 yrs 43% for ANA Always want to try more 1960s whisky, and Glen Moray gets you there at a more palatable price point. Not much information except exclusive bottling for All Nippon Airways. Although this distillery today is not as highly regarded, still good reference on how they made things in the 1960s when they did their own maltings in-house, and at a well aged 25 years too. . . .
