Tartiflette is a traditional French dish from the Savoie region celebrating one of the most famous local cheeses, the Reblochon.
The dish draws its name from the Arpitan (ancient Savoyard language) word, tartiflâ, which means potato. It was popularised in the 1980’s to promote the sale of Reblochon.
The rich and hearty dish is made using Reblochon cheese, potatoes, lardons and onions. It is the quintessential winter dish and is very popular at ski resorts after a day on the slopes.
Our Mountain Man is inspired by the Reblochon recipe and is the perfect Australian cheese for a tartiflette.
