Discussion: Just a couple of seasons ago, American Center Back Aaron Long was struggling to make a name for himself in Major League Soccer. Since signing a first team contract with the New York Red Bulls in 2017, Long’s career turned for the better as he quickly rose up the team’s depth chart, becoming an Elite MLS Defender. Now, with a Defender of the Year Award and 11 Appearances with the USMNT under his belt, the 26-year-old is reportedly receiving offers from the English Premier League (West Ham). While the Red Bulls have rejected the first round of bids from Europe, speculation is heating up that we might see Long make the move to Europe following the 2019 MLS season.
