An absolute cracker of a day out at the MTBO 3hr today catching up with old and new mates and even work mates. Really enjoyed the course (thanks @tjuringa_orienteering_club 👍), made some great decisions (and not so great) and I think I'm finally getting the map contours right (wasn't slogging up the steepest hills for once). Managed to visit 18 of the 19 controls with 24 minutes to spare. Stoked to have done so well but absolutely gutted that I had made the decision to not visit one control out the back. Would have been nice to get a clean sweep. Must remember to back myself next time and trust my abilities. Time 2:36 Distance 31.4km .
