This week learn more about Levan Mindiashvili's work and his contribution to the NYC creative community. An excerpt from his artist statement below ππ½ππΎππ»
.
"My practice inevitably is marked by the fact that, after leaving my native Georgia in 2008, I have lived and worked in the cultural centers of the western hemisphere: first I have completed post-graduate studies in Buenos Aires, and after four years I have moved to New Yorkβs hip and fast-gentrifying neighborhood of Bushwick. If longing for the βhomeβ and βplaceβ has directed my interest in architecture and urban development, just finally to accept nomadic, not- belonging-to-anywhere mindset, same acceptance of fluidity led me to understand, that contemporary condition of continually changing and morphing social forms have established themselves as a current state of being, and no longer represent a temporary or transitional one."
