I really do love Armin and even though I don't think he'll save humanity inside the walls I think if somebody does then it'll be Eren but regardless I'm holding out hope that before the manga ends he does at least one more thing to show that he was worth saving cuz this was the only moment in the Marley arc where Armin showed something. It was his idea to use this airship to arrive and escape Marley from. It was a very risky move which paid off and as Hanji said "Did you get possessed by Erwin's ghost?" Cuz a very risky move or strategy that if successful with benefit them gratefully even if it costs some of their own lives if not all of them is what Erwin was and Armin showed a glimpse of that here. What's sad is after this moment he's shown nothing so far where if it was Erwin there would be so much of this happening and giving Paradis such a better chance and since he would've been commander he would've had the opportunity to implement all of that but because Armin has no rank in the corps he was locked in jail forced to do nothing.
