On Sunday, instead of crawling on my hands and knees while mudlarking along the River Thames, I flew hundreds of metres above the river from the English Channel to West London. I didn’t spot any old artefacts from that height 😂😂😂, but it was amazing to see the River Thames from above, snaking through Central London and flowing into the sea. As illustrated in the second photo, I could see the English Channel as I flew over the O2 Arena and Canary Wharf. I always forget that the sea is so close to London (“as the crow flies.”) Swipe left for more photos.
