Lately I feel that I’ve spending way to much time trying to string a series of words and sentences together with emotion; something that leaves you thinking long after you've finished reading what I wrote - something thought provoking.
I feel sometimes that people just look at my photos and don't actually read my captions, more often times than not, and I beat myself down for it. Is what I'm writing not interesting enough?
I really try hard to tell a story with the photos I take and post, as well as storytelling with my words, but lately I've spent time hitting the backspace button more than actually letting my words flow and that's not me. I second guess what I've written and I don't share it. I start to think to myself, should I just start posting without intention, but then I remember the messages that I get from you guys, and my heart starts to warm up and a smile comes to my face.
The reason I write and post with intention is for the mere fact that I have a voice, and I want to use it to inspire, be relatable, and encourage you to not only be transparent, but to be who you unapologetically. I am just like you, and I think people tend to forget the fact that we're human, and we tend to judge ourselves by someone else's "highlight reel," because that's what social media is for the most part. We have to take this thing called life one day at a time and just remember to breathe, and sometimes it's okay if that's all you accomplish that day.
