I use to want train to be part of fitness competitions. I prepped twice for 16 weeks only to never step on stage. I just never felt good about it or ready

Truthfully, I think it was my subconscious telling me I was doing it for the wrong reasons

I started training for fitness shows because I felt it was what I needed to do to prove myself as a fitness professional. Not a good reason!

After the last prep I did, I had to have a real conversation with myself and question my intentions of training
.
⁉️Am I training for the right reasons?
⁉️Do I enjoy it?
⁉️Is this something I can do even on my the days I don't feel like it?
.
Training for me now doesn't involve fitness shows but rather training to be strong, feel good and be as agile as I was when I played soccer & basketball
