On August 12, the new NBA experience opened to the public for the first time at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort. It replaces the old Disney Quest, an interactive and technology-based experience which closed in 2017. Now, the two-story, 44,000 square foot building is home to the NBA Experience, with 13 interactive elements. Tickets are $34 for adults and $29 for kids. So is it worth the money? Early reviews suggest it may not be. Many of the activities are standard basketball activities that you could find at your local rec center, and none of them have the Disney flair that makes the parks’ experiences so beloved. It also does not have much to do for its steep price, meaning this new experience could be in trouble for the future if guests are looking for immersive Disney experiences.
