Owen Michael was a gift after struggling through some infertility when we were first married. We weren't sure if we would have biological kids, and then, when I started focusing on running instead, we got pregnant! I actually ran my first 5k a few weeks pregnant. (I came in dead last, but no one else was in that division, so I got 1st place in my age group! 😂)

Running has been my escape when things got hard (infertility, death of my parents, waiting on adoption), and NOW I can CELEBRATE through running! 🎉

God has granted me the desires of my heart. This sweet boy loves his family, loves being the oldest brother, loves animals, science, and basketball. He is kind-hearted, stubborn, and one of the best helpers! .
