🔷30lb Become Stronger mace vs 25lb Quad mace!•
🔴I wanted to quantify why it was so much more difficult to swing a mace that was only 5lbs heavier. I knew it was because the length of the 30lb mace was 8 inches longer but I wanted to see the numbers.•
🔷Here is the tale of the tape•
📍Quad mace weighing in at 25lbs with a reach(length) of 48inches.•
📍Become Stronger mace weighing in at 30lbs with a reach of 56inches.•
🔷 Here is what I found•
🔵 The Become Stronger mace at the 10 and 2 positions generates 40% more torque than the Quad mace!• So it generates the torque of a mace the same length as the Quad mace but 10lbs heavier.• The length increase alone contributed to a 20% increase in torque!•
✔️ Takeaway • If I do single-arm sets for 40 swings like today I will be swinging an additional 400lbs per set. Makes sense why it was significantly harder! 📍🤙🏼💪🏼
