The Gaboon Viper. Scientific name Bitis gabonica. My first reptile! These guys have the longest fangs and the most venom per bite of any snake on the planet. They’re pretty short but very fat and wide. Their camouflage is excellent. They have not been evaluated by the IUCN but are not believed to be threatened.
