I love to do divination work on stormy days...there’s something about it that pulls me in. Are any of you guys like that too? Now that I know who one of my spirit guides is I feel it’s easier for me to connect and ask questions with my tarot deck. I’ve seen people in different groups I’m in on Facebook say that they can’t get good readings with their cards so I just wanted to quickly give a few tips on that, make sure you are drawn to your deck first, you might think a deck is pretty but you aren’t fully drawn to it, don’t get it then...keep looking until you find a deck that you can’t get out of your mind. Once you have your deck you should cleanse it (I made a post awhile ago about cleansing your deck so you can scroll down to read about that if you would like) but use any cleaning herb or incense and just run your cards through it. You should meditate while holding them for a few minutes too. You are going to want to get your energy on the cards so I recommend keeping your cards by your bed for a week or two while you sleep. I also suggest doing a one card pull daily to get used to your cards and they can get used to you, and talk to your spirit guides, ask them to communicate with you through your deck. Sometimes it takes time before you get accurate readings. If you just don’t feel that your deck is working for you don’t be afraid to move on to a different deck. This goes for Oracle and Lenormand cards too, and I don’t believe that you have to be gifted your first deck either, I never was...not everyone has someone that will buy them tarot cards. I always say to do what feels right for you 🖤 .
