A pleasure deferred is a pleasure doubled | Iceland 2019, Day 3 🏔🌿🌲🔥❄️✨ Today was very long day, driving the stretch from the Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west to a city called Akureyri in the north of Iceland. We took a long detour to find Grettislaug, a hot spring somehow on the very edge of a coastline and beneath a towering wall of bright green mountains. David’s happy place, for sure. My caption was something I overheard an Australian tourist say while soaking in the spring 😂 Also pictured: a group of friendly Icelandic horses and some mountain views on the way to Akureyri. Not pictured: the cloud-filled valleys and stretches of razor thin roads alongside jagged cliffs that we aren’t sure how we survived without a nervous breakdown 😅 oh, Iceland 🏔🏔🏔 .
