Oh my heart! I can’t believe I’m the one IN the picture holding MY baby and not the one taking the picture! It feels a little unreal.
Totally worth the wait!
Let’s talk about that for a second. Waiting is super uncomfortable isn’t it? I remember photographing weddings, maternity, newborn, and family sessions and leaving feeling a little empty or sad. Would it ever be my turn? I even said, “Maybe I’m not meant to be a mom.” The waiting and wondering was unbearable some days but there is purpose in the waiting.
I think for me the greatest lesson I’ve learned through waiting for marriage, a baby, and all the bumps in pregnancy and delivery is to trust God completely. Trust His timing, His choices. He truly knows best and He’s writing a beautiful story with your life. Things may not go as you planned but God sees the whole picture and knows what we need and can handle.
The cool thing is that your story isn’t just for you but for people watching too. Our lives are meant to be shared.
If you’re in a season of waiting (I’m still in a season of waiting too) know that every day you’re closer to your breakthrough and answer to prayers. Know that your story has value and purpose.
