I’m finally back in Taitung, Taiwan, for a second year and I’ve hit up plenty of delicious places in the last three weeks so I’ll be posting the highlights soon. I still have a backlog of amazing food experiences from my summer in Portland so I’ll pepper those posts here and there as well. As for Sam’s Burger in Taitung - I haven’t craved burgers in Taiwan over the last year as much as I thought I would and the one time I got a burger in Taitung, it was disappointing so I haven’t tried again. But Sam’s Burger is known as the best burger in town so it was the spot of my second foray into Taitung Burgerdom. Verdict? DELICIOUS. Honestly so impressed and would potentially order this burger in the U.S. The best part? Their signature burger is served with peanut butter slathered on top, which is hard to find in the States but a surprisingly common staple on Taiwanese burger menus. This is the best one I’ve had though, better than any Taipei one. || Kiki’s Peanut Butter Burger — a juicy beef patty topped with simple garnishes like pickles and lettuce but COVERED with a velvety smooth peanut butter spread.
