Book 14 of 2019: “Sing To It” by Amy Hempel. I know what you’re thinking — this isn’t the best picture of that book, but this is actually a high up wall shelf and I had to stand on a stepladder just to get this picture and still couldn’t reach the book. But hey you get to see my boobie bookends I inherited from my grandfather Millwee. Sadly, I wish I had something just as interesting to say about the book as “boobie bookends from my grandfather Millwee.” Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed every moment of reading this slim volume of vignette like stories, but all I can say after finishing it is that it had me hungry to go back and read the Amy Hempel I’ve known before this.
