Inspections are a valuable and a critical component when buying a home. With the FAR/BAR repair limits there are set parameters, that a buyer and seller may agree to “negotiate” in order to keep the transaction together.

The repair limits call for discussion between the parties about the repair costs found to exist within the scope of the inspection report.

Through their agents, the buyer and seller may negotiate repairs within the 12-15 day inspection period. Beyond that period, if the buyer withdraws they forfeit their escrow deposit.
