“I started to make dolls because it gave me a feeling of security,” says artist Daria Lapto (@lapka_arts). “The world is often chaotic and unexplainable, and it is nice to have a little ally that keeps you safe on your way. I love to think that my hands open a portal to our world for gentle, quiet and weird creatures.”
