These two joined me yesterday in conquering Ben Nevis and I couldn't be more proud of both of them.
8hrs of hard work and what an achievement for them.
As we were walking up I discussed my fledgling Young Adult/Younger audience book that I dreamt up during my circuit training a few says ago. Needless to say my youngest, for who I started publishing my random stories to inspire, latched to the idea and on the way down asked me to tell him the story again.
Between us we have come up with so many ta gents for the story that I have now jotted a loose chronological plan of the story (well two-thirds at least). But the encouraging thing is my boys have helped me with the ideas and seeing as they will ultimately be my target audience it seems right to put the ideas past them.
It's times like on the mountains, when there is Jo real technological interference and we can just talk our random talk that we come up with new things such as "The Adventures Of Timothy Scott" which is the loose idea of the new stories. I feel sorry for anyone who had to hear us and our random ramblings about monsters, creatures and story elements as they must have thought we were all insane.
This is why I write, this is why I created my Magdon books and allowed myself to unleash my own imagination with stuff for my own entertainment - to show my boys, especially my youngest, just what can be done with a random thought process.
There is nothing weird about make-believe, just need to harness it in a way where the world joins you and jot you having to join the world.
Here's hoping this hook becomes something for us.
