A small simple book. The writer, who happens to be a monk, focuses on the basic principles of mindfulness.
The initial chapters teach one about meditation, the necessity of being continually aware and the connection between breath and being. He branches out a little more in the later chapters. He talks about the importance of meditating on death (and other ‘unpleasant’ things) and the need to find the continuity (rather connection) in everything.
A few simple exercises in the end, were much more practical and (hopefully) useful.
