Change, as is often repeated, is the only consistent in our world. But, change can be excruciatingly difficult and seemingly impossible at times.

Sometimes it takes a collision with an outward force—a comment from a friend, a quick glance in the mirror, or a memento morí—for us to see the very aspects of ourselves that need to be changed. Even still, we may find ourselves shying away from transformation in an effort to hold tight to the devil we know.

When faced with your reflection, don’t shy away from the truth. Be open to the part of yourself that desires to change for the betterment of the whole. Don’t allow your pride to get in the way of your own growth.

You are worthy of all that you desire but your efforts to cling to everything that holds you back shows that you don’t truly believe you are. Act like the person that already has what it is you want, not like the person afraid of losing it. .
