Don't believe everything you see on the internet. This quote has been attributed to Gautama Buddha but that is false. Someone decided to attribute it to a famous personality to gain exposure. It really shouldn't matter who came up with this idea though, it IS a great philosophy.

Keep in mind the internet is full of misrepresentations. I took this photo while hiking the Annapurna trek in Nepal for 20 days. But if all you see is a beautiful landscape, you won't realise the sweat and effort involved on this adventure nor the life or death situation halfway through when I faced off against 9 angry ex-military guys (of a nationality I won't name) who were intent on killing me while I was at BASE camp of 5400m. That's a story for another time.
