I cannot believe it has taken me this long to post about this amazing novel because I read it back in March when it was a @bookofthemonth pick, and I LOVED it!

I am not new to Taylor Jenkins Reid. I have been reading her novels since she only had two out, and I have always been impressed by how unique her ideas are. One of my favorites of hers is Maybe in Another Life, which follows a woman down two paths she could have taken based on one decision. I also loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and I may just love Daisy Jones & the Six even more.

Daisy, a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, quickly gets noticed because of her voice. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. In Daisy Jones and the Six, Taylor Jenkins Reid chronicles both how the band got together and what led to their infamous split.

The absolute best thing about this book is the way it’s told. The oral history allows you to get into the minds of every single character. @tjenkinsreid has been an auto-buy author for me for awhile, and she’s only increasing her status as such with books like this.
