It’s HONESTY TIME! 🤘🏻 Lately, I have just felt like “quitting” Instagram.
I start thinking about the relationships that I’ve made and the people that I still want to meet... Things I still haven’t done. I honestly enjoy creating content, especially Disney content. So, why quit?
Honestly, I feel stuck. You always want to see growth and engagement when you work so hard on a post. You want to be able to inspire others, but the way the algorithm works is if your post isn’t successful within the first 30 minutes, Instagram won’t show it to many of your followers or just keep you buried at the bottom. So, basically... it’s a popularity contest. I have never been popular 🙈😂 I’m here to create in hopes to work with Disney or other brands in some way, but this platform has become difficult. I’m not looking for money or fame, I just enjoy doing this work, but I feel like I’m not succeeding due to the limitations of Instagram.
In the end, I create because I enjoy it. However, you want to see some kind of return and instead, I have felt like a failure in that aspect. I’m hard on myself, I always have been. I look at those that are successful within this community and just notice that I’m not like them other than our love for Disney. Sometimes I’m not really sure where I “fit” in this community of people. Does this mean that Disney will never work with me? 🤷🏼♀️ Who knows. I’ll keep trying though. I will not quit even though I feel like doing that right now. I’ll keep doing me and maybe one day, my dreams will come true!
