I loved, loved Sibiu.
One of my favorite thing about the city were the houses “with windows that looked like eyes.” Walking down the cobblestones, it felt like these dwellings were watching with wary eyes my every move. I wondered how many events and stories these “eyes” have witnessed over the years. What secrets do they hold?
The colored houses dance with the sunlight, making the streets feel even more alive. Some of the houses are crumbling and the paint peeling, but I love that. It makes the city feel natural, not so forced, not perfect. I hope as Sibiu continues to gain popularity, it leaves that ruggedness. It only adds to its charm. .
