Hey all! My last read is this YA from the very talented Elizabeth Acevedo. This is our @unabridgedpod Book Club Book for September. I really enjoyed this book. Acevedo’s writing style and poetic language are just what I like in a YA novel. Although this book didn’t have me on the edge of my seat, I still enjoyed The relationships in the story, and Emoni’s (the main character) journey and self-discovery. And I love a book about cooking and food. This YA book offers a lot to the reader. It isn’t hugely plot driven, but it is still a worthwhile read!
