There is something about a dedication to the reader that stirs my heart. It's like the author is taking their book, pressing it into my hands and saying, "Look. Here. I made this for you." They didn't write the book for fame or fortune, even to satisfy their need to string words together. They wrote their book because they had something to share. Something to share with me.
