While Reed and Sue are trying to plan there wedding a new figure has arrived on earth, Silver surfer, causing havoc with the earth's environment and energy sources. Its down to the F4 to overcome there troubles and find out who The Surfer is working for, the planet-eating Galactus, meanwhile Doom is resuscitated and repaired having received a energy jolt for Surfer.

I actually really enjoyed this sequel a step up from the first installment, you can continue to see the characters growth, Ben now with a partner has almost come to terms with his appearance, Johnny still the jovial one but more centred and the development of Reed and Sue's relationship. Dooms still deceitful with his attempts to help but ultimately a bad guys just a bad guy with his own agenda. The conflict of the silver surfers moral agenda with Galactacus was pretty good showing redemption and sacrifice. The stories previous plot of dealing with their abilities was mostly resolved in the first one, but now the real life issue of dealing with environmental issues ,change, growth and stardom and how it affects relationships and family ties is quite relalistic but marvel always try to include grounded issues in the films which make them more relatable and enjoyable. Galactacus, the threat of his arrival should have been more prominent & terrifying especially as it revolved around the destruction of earth, but the tone never really reached that level. The characters are on top form, Ben seems more settled, Doom was just as sinister as before, Sue and Reed I think are the most under developed they don't seem to have grown since the first film but maybe that's because of there character story and powers. Doug as the body of Silver Surfer and Lawrence as the voice worked amazingly well. Visuals were good the design of the sufer was similar to the comic /series and the introduction of the fantasticar was expected. Not MCU standard of greatness but the best of the 3 F4 films, just beating the original. ..
