👻THE WHISPER MAN by ALEX NORTH👻 REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ✨ .
. “It's not going to be easy, and I need to start with an apology. Because over the years I've told you many times that there's no such thing as monsters. I'm sorry that I lied." .
.
After the sudden death of his wife, Tom Kennedy moves to Featherbank with his son, Jake, to give them both a fresh start. 20 years prior, a serial killer nicknamed "The Whisper Man" abducted young, lonely boys after whispering to them from outside of their windows. Soon after Tom and Jake move to Featherbank, another young boy is abducted in the exact same way The Whisper Man operated 20 years prior...but they caught him and he's in prison. Then, Jake starts saying he's hearing whispers outside of his window... 😳

What worked for me:
- This was a super quick read. I started this in the evening one night, had to put it down because it got too creepy for a bedtime read, and then finished it the next day before bedtime. The short chapters make it so easy to just read one more before you go to sleep! 😬
- I've always believed in ghosts so a possible supernatural element was fun and different for me👻

What didn't work for me:
- This actually got less creepy as it went on. I guess this could be a positive for some people but I liked the creepy, skin crawling feeling! .

I can't believe The Whisper Man is Alex North's DEBUT thriller because it was masterfully written. This would be a perfect book to read around Halloween (if you can wait that long) and it will have you checking that you've locked your doors multiple time before bed.

I can't believe The Whisper Man is Alex North's DEBUT thriller because it was masterfully written. This would be a perfect book to read around Halloween (if you can wait that long) and it will have you checking that you've locked your doors multiple time before bed.
