Yes, we are still on Maui! We got up hours before dawn and drove to the chilly summit of Mt. Haleakalā to watch the sun rise over the distant clouds, a serene and otherworldly experience. As the sun rose higher, it was like seeing light for the first time as colors crept into the crater—it was astounding.
