BUCKET LIST COMPLETE! Or at least soooo very close...
Yesterday the most magical moment *almost* happened. I usually don’t like “bucket lists” simply because so often that phrase equates to “pipe dream that’s never actually going to happen.” Instead I love to live my life being open to any wild and wonderful thing which comes my way, and friends... wild and wonderful things happen ALL THE TIME when you’re open to them!
Yet there is one thing I’ve wanted to do pretty much my entire life and instead of trying to force it, manipulate it, or make it happen on my own, I’ve lived under the belief that it WILL happen, and it will take place exactly when it’s supposed to, and not one day before.
To my complete surprise, yesterday looked like it was going to be the day. My phone was on fire from the texts I was sending out to alert everyone to this momentous occasion. I had people in three countries doing happy dances on my behalf, and my photog friend Coco came rushing in on her day off to capture the event on film. But alas, it was not yet meant to be.
Record heat and a thunderstorm warning caused a safety issue and cancelled our big life event just a few minutes before it happened. I laughed and laughed at how close we came to this final thing on my bucket list, because I guess this means I’m not going to ‘kick the bucket’ just yet!
