![[2019] The Spectacular Now<br />.<br />📝 Review:<br />It tells about Sutter (Miles Teller), a popular student who likes to party and has issue on his study. One day when he woke up in the backyard after hangover all night, he met an Introvert clever girl, Aimee (Shailene Woodley). Their lives are quite contradictory but doesn't preclude the friendship they built. Sutter tried to face problems in his life while Aimee carefully prepared her future. The two of them then fall in love, despite Sutter doesn't take it too seriously. As with Aimee, who loves him sincerely.<br /><br />I started to watch this and thinking it was a good teen romance movie. A24 brand name and its writer who wrote 500 days of summer is quite promising for my interest and give me a hope. Unfortunatelly, this film is not delivered as good as its rating. The whole cast performance and the cinematic shot is wonderful, but the randomly conflicts it had were ruin everything.<br /><br />For me, the main concern in the movie is unclear. I can't distinguish which part belongs to the second and third act because everything feels blurred. Actually, Aimee and Sutter's chemistry is really good on the first act, but it isn't developed properly causing unsettled love story at the end. The ending was anti-climax and cliffhanging on it maximum level. You feel like this movie ends in the middle of nowhere without any definite conclusions.
