Here comes a #sappy #friendshipappreciationpost (and #ohmickeymonday ) let me tell you, it has taken me 20 something years to find my “tribe” and a lot of them i have found thanks to this platform! But let me tell you bout my best friend 💁🏼 this is Ashton ( @dcrewdesign ) and I found her on Etsy early in 2018. After my first purchase from her I realized we both were from Ohio and then I forced her to be my best friend. Ashton doesn’t share too much about herself on IG but she is very type B, super chill, laid back, reserved, kind, thoughtful, smart, hardworking, caring, supportive, funny, giving, beyond talented (if you follow her or own any of her jewelry you already know) but I mean my list could go on and on but to me she is essentially perfect. .

I love bragging about Ashton bc she’s amazing but I’m also writing to say this; you are the CEO of your life, hire and fire accordingly. If you have people who are not supporting you, helping you thrive, grow, or pushing you to be the best you, get rid of them. It’s ok if friends who have been with you since birth are no longer serving a purpose in the life you are living or trying to achieve. It’s ok to separate yourself from those who don’t inspire you or that you feel are holding you back. Find your tribe. People who lift you up, people who root for you, support you in all walks of life, but also are capable of being honest in ways that help you grow. People who can listen on your worst days and laugh with you on your best. .
