Despite Instagram removing likes being a good thing for mental health, @smv.style doesn't think that's the main reason Instagram is doing it.
He believes that it is being done to increase the amount of users spending on paid advertisement. If your likes are going down (organic reach on IG is declining), you can't compare it to other users so you think your posts are not performing well. Therefore you pay for ads.
