One of my posts that resonated the most with you guys was the one about “toxic is toxic, even if they’re family”. I still stand by that, but I want to add one thing:<br /><br />If we blame them for all the negative effects they’ve had on our lives, we have to blame them just as much for the positive effects they’ve had on our lives.<br /><br />Blame them for the bad, and hate them for the bad, but blame (appreciate and thank and love) them just as hard for the good.<br /><br />It’s not easy. I’m still working on it and remind myself of this every time I find myself thinking about certain individuals. Tbh at the moment it feels like just letting go of all anger and resentment is easier than trying to find ways to love equally for the good... but we all deal with situations differently. What’s good for me might not be what’s good for you... but to have bad there has be good (even if there’s just a little!) so try this next time and see if it works for you - when you start thinking about the negative side of a situation or person, try to think of the positive side just as intensely.
