Just before sunrise this morning as I was leaving for work, I had to stop and take this picture. This mist seemed so incredibly magical and I had the familiar feeling that I wasn't completely alone. The mist reminded me of Celtic lore and the creatures who may dwell, concealed, within it. According to Irish mythology, the féth fíada is a magic mist used by the Tuatha Dé Danann, the tribe of Irish deities, to hide themselves from mortal eyes. Even in Scottish lore, it's said that faeries and other wee folk shroud themselves in the mist. The hills and glens of the Isle of Skye are often misty and foggy.
