A couple years ago I plopped down into Barnes & Noble to read some poetry books. Little did I know that I know I would find this poem that has stuck with me for years. I can’t remember the name of the book, or the author, and I couldn’t afford the book at the time. But sometimes this quote pops back into my head and I remember that it all wasn’t for nothing. I may not know why I have to live in this crazy life, but I know that it’s not all bad and it’s definitely not as bad as I thought it was. I got so much better than I ever could’ve dreamed. I never thought that I would actually get to move to Colorado, I never thought that I would find anybody to spend my life with, and so much more. I just thought that I would end up being alone forever, and having to deal with depression nights by myself. It doesn’t solve everything having someone there but it’s really, really, nice sometimes. Depression won for a very long time and almost completely consumed my life but this picture and this quote remind me it can be a chapter. It doesn’t have to be the whole book. .
