One of my favorite kingfishers in the african bushveld; the brown-hooded. May be because we have one very cute one living in our garden... We rescued him one day after he flew into a big window. Got there begore the dogs did and we kept him dark and quiet for a few hours. Enough to get back on his feet. Since that day he sticks around. We do not feed or pet him, he is just always there. 🐦
