If #climatestrike striking is not your thing (trust me it’s not mine) and you find global climate change to be an intimidating issue to tackle by yourself, then take today to commit to two ideas. ONE: Find one small way to make a change in your every day. Choose a way to reduce your carbon footprint: contribute less to the livestock industry, eat and purchase more local products, carpool more often. Or pick a wasteful thing you do and try to eliminate it: getting single use cutlery/cups/etc in a drive thru, tossing out something you could’ve used again, keeping your lights and airco on all day. Small changes matter too. TWO: Even more importantly, VOTE. Educate yourself on your candidate and vote for an elected official that considers the consequences of big industry and government funding/regulation (or lack thereof) on our planet and it’s resources.
