This past weekend I decided to take a trip to the East End Market to try out Dochi Japanese Mochi Donuts! I’ve seen them all over Instagram so I was so excited to give them a try. From what I overheard, this is a pop-up shop that only sells here on Saturdays and Sundays. When I went, they had four flavors, but the churro nutella ran out before I ordered. However, I was going to order the matcha pistacho anyway. One donut cost $2.50 and a dozen cost $26! I think $2.50 is a reasonable price for one donut, but I definitely do not have enough money to get a dozen, although I wish I did because this donut was amazing!! It was perfectly fluffy on the inside and the frosting was perfectly sweetened. I did bring it home and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it warm which really contributed to the experience. I think the shape is really fun too because it pulls apart in cute little bite-sized balls. As far as the store goes, it’s a very small room with no seating so it’s not really a place to hang out, but downstairs at the East End Market there is a beautiful garden seating area. Overall, I would give Dochi Japanese Mochi Donuts 4.5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ only because I wish they were served warm in the store. Other than that I loved the donut and can’t wait to come back and try more flavors!
