At its 8th edition @expochicago, The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art officially opened yesterday after Thursday preview. On the way to become one of the important international fair in US, this year #expochicago is hosting +135 leading international art galleries in Navy Pier. This year edition is also intentionally and strategically alligned with the important event #chicagoarchitecturebiennial (‪September 19, 2019 – January 5, 2020‬) creating a rich program of events, which confirms the city as a growing vibrant international #culturalhub , with a booming  art scene, drawn by an active regional contemporary art community and collector base. As dealer #marianeibrahimgallery suggested in an #artnewspaper interview while commenting her decision to move in the, Chicago can boast today a “diverse artistic community and a rich cultural and architectural history, one that is a rarity in the US"

ðŸ’I probably won’t be able to join many European fairs this year as I used to, but being on the other side of the ocean, I’m so glad to have discovered and visit this important and historical American #artfair ( one if the first) in such unexpectedly vibrant city for art and culture, with a very engaged and highly educated base of #collectors and #artlovers
